Absolutely come and give it a try! We pride ourselves on being a friendly club. If you decide it’s not the sport for you, that’s completely fine too.

Between June and August, we hold Hockey4All skills sessions every Thursday between 7pm and 8pm. Suitable for beginners and those who are interested in returning to hockey, these sessions are a chance for some relaxed coaching, picking up new skills and getting to know fellow players.

Our training and league matches start at the beginning of September and finish in March. Seniors train on Thursday and Juniors train on Tuesdays. Please see each section for more information.

If you are coming along to a session, please let us know in advance on email or Facebook, so we can put you in touch with the right captain, know to expect you and can let you know about any last minute changes.

Training and home matches take place at the hockey pitch at

Abergavenny Leisure Centre, Old Hereford Road, Abergavenny NP7 6EP

Away matches vary considerably but are usually between 30 to 90 minutes’ drive away. Lift sharing is encouraged.

Please check the relevant team page for training times.

You will need a hockey stick! If you’re coming to training for the first time and don’t have one, let us know and you can borrow one for the training.

We also strongly recommend shin pads, astro hockey shoes, and a gum shield for playing matches. Some players also wear gloves.

We have a club supply of match tops, and also have a kit supplier if you wish to buy your own kit.
