Ladies Hockey South Wales

Abergavenny’s ladies section fields two teams in the South Wales Womens League.

Our Ladies 1s have settled nicely into Division 2, competing weekly against clubs from all over South Wales. The 2018/2019 season was a great success for the team, finishing in fourth place and meeting their target for the season. Next season they hope to develop their performance and finish in the top three of Division 2, ready for promotion to Division 1 within the next few seasons.

The Ladies 2nd team is currently in Division 4a of the South Wales Womens League. This team plays on Saturdays along with the other senior teams, and aims to play competitive hockey in a fun, low-pressure environment. This team is also ideal for our youth players moving up to senior hockey, and for newer players moving from the development team as confidence grows.
